Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls For preparing the guacamole and sausage patties.
  • Skillet or Cast Iron Pan For cooking the patties and toasting the buns.
  • Fork For mashing the avocado.
  • Spatula To flip the patties.
  • Knife and cutting board For chopping onions and other ingredients.

Ingredients

For Guacamole:

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 3 Tbsp finely diced onion
  • 1 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tsp TABASCO® Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp salt or to taste

For Sausage Patties:

  • 1/2 lb ground Beef
  • 1 pressed garlic clove
  • 1/2 tsp TABASCO® Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt

For Burger Assembly:

  • 2 burger buns sliced
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 4 slices of cheese
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • Additional TABASCO® Sauce for serving

Instructions

  • Guacamole: In a medium bowl, use a fork to roughly mash the avocado. Stir in 3 Tbsp finely diced onion. In a small bowl, mix 1 Tbsp mayonnaise with 1/2 tsp TABASCO® Sauce and add to the avocado mixture. Add 1/4 tsp of salt, or adjust to taste. Cover and refrigerate.
  • Breakfast Sausage Patties: In a medium bowl, combine ground Beef, garlic, TABASCO® Sauce, and salt. Mix well with your hands. Divide into 2 equal portions and shape into 1/4-inch thick patties.
  • Cooking and Assembly: Heat a non-stick skillet or cast iron pan over medium-high heat. Butter the cut sides of the buns and toast until golden. Remove buns to serving plates.
  • Add sausage patties to the skillet. Cook undisturbed for 2 minutes, then flip. Top each patty with 2 slices of cheese and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat, then cover to let the cheese melt.
  • In another pan, melt a dab of butter over medium heat. Add beaten eggs and cook, stirring lightly at first, then letting them set undisturbed. Fold each egg in half, then in half again, to create a compact shape.
  • Place a sausage patty on the bottom bun, top it with a folded egg, and spread a generous amount of guacamole over the egg. Finish by covering with the top bun.
  • Serve: Repeat for the second Burger. Serve warm with extra TABASCO® Sauce on the side.
  • Enjoy your hearty and flavorful breakfast Burger!🍔

Notes

  • Store any leftover guacamole in an airtight container, pressing plastic wrap directly onto the surface to prevent it from browning.
  • For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños to the guacamole.
  • Swap out the cheese with your favorite variety, such as pepper jack or cheddar.
  • These burgers pair well with sweet potato fries or a crisp green salad.
