Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Nonstick skillet, grill, or air fryer
  • Spatula
  • Oil spray

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp dried onion flakes
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • Oil spray for cooking
  • Hamburger buns
  • Toppings: lettuce tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, or condiments

Instructions

  • Prepare the Burger Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, dried onion flakes, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and salt. Mix until combined, but don’t overmix to keep the texture tender.
  • Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each into a patty about ½ inch thick to ensure even cooking in the center.

Stovetop Method:

  • Warm a large nonstick skillet over medium-low heat. Once hot, lightly spray the pan with oil.
  • Add the patties to the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, flipping once, until browned and cooked through.
  • Tip: Check the underside of the burgers occasionally to prevent burning and ensure they are cooked evenly.
  • While cooking, prepare your buns and desired toppings. Toast the buns if preferred.
  • Once done, place the patties on the buns, add toppings, and serve immediately.

Grilling Method:

  • Preheat the grill to medium heat and clean the grates well. Lightly spray with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Toast the buns on the grill if desired, assemble the burgers with toppings, and serve.

Air Fryer Method:

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F.
  • Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
  • Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  • Serving: Place the cooked turkey burgers on buns with your favorite toppings and condiments. Serve immediately with fries, a salad, or any side of your choice.
  • Enjoy your juicy turkey burgers! 🍔

Notes

  • If the burger mixture feels too wet, add a tablespoon of breadcrumbs at a time until the consistency improves.
  • Leftover patties can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
  • Try different toppings and condiments to customize the flavor to your liking.
